The Hanuman Mandir was originally established around 2042 BS as Jogi Kuti. It began to be known as Hanuman Mandir after 2047 BS, following the formation of a committee responsible for the temple's management.

Located at an elevated site near a forest, alongside the Narayani River in Gaindakot 9, Nawalparasi, Lumbini, Nepal, the temple is known for its tranquil surroundings. The foundation of the current temple structure was laid by the late Guru Parmaananda.

The temple attracts religious pilgrims from both Nepal and India. Indian devotees, in particular, visiting Nepal for spiritual purposes, find this site to be an ideal place for rest and refreshment during their journey.
