Her fearless nature impresses Dixit Ji of Jhansi, who proposes her marriage to Maharaja Gangadhar Rao. After the wedding, she receives the name Laxmibai, which creates concern for Sadashiv Rao due to his personal ambitions. Laxmibai later becomes a mother, but unexpected tragedies affect her family and the king’s health declines. Before his passing, the king and Laxmibai adopt a child named Anand Rao, whom she affectionately calls Damodar Rao. After the king’s death, Laxmibai takes responsibility for Jhansi when external powers try to claim the kingdom. She moves among the people, planning peacefully to safeguard her land, supported by devoted villagers like Jhalkaribai. As national uprisings reach Jhansi, she protects the civilians and prepares to defend the region with a trained group, including many women. Betrayal from within weakens the fort, and Jhalkaribai courageously helps Laxmibai and the young heir escape to safety.
